FIRE SUPPRESSION, REVOLUTIONIZED.

The EXA aerosol fire suppression system is a solid aerosol-generating compound contained in a non-pressurised metal canister. The EXA fire-extinguishing aerosol is a mixture of dry chemical particles and gasses – which, when electrically activated, produces combustion of micron-sized dry chemical particles and gas to extinguish fire.

Before being released into the protected area, the EXA aerosol propels itself through a unique physical coolant which absorbs and redistributes heat, thus ensuring flameless discharge and uniform distribution of aerosol within the area. Micron-sized aerosol particles, which exhibit gas-like three dimensional qualities, allow the agent to rapidly distribute throughout the enclosure and even reach concealed or shielded locations. Homogeneous distribution is achieved in seconds, while long holding times help to prevent fire re-ignition.

The EXA self-contained module requires no plumbing work and therefore is easy to install and maintain.

VERSATILITY OF APPLICATIONS

EXA systems offer a choice between methods of application – Total Flooding (protection of the entire premise) or Direct-To-Source (protection of individual enclosures within the premises). In case of a bank of electrical cabinets located in a large room, such individual protection of each cabinet is more effective both fire wise (targets fire at its source and therefore extinguishes fire at a very early stage) and cost wise (a fire incident requires a fire system replacement for the affected cabinet only, and not the entire premise).

Pyrogen also offers EXA-M range specifically designed for aggressive environments (with high temperature & high vibration) and heavy-duty applications.

TOTAL FLOODING

Total Flooding system consists of an automatic fire alarm system and one or more EXA generators. Upon activation, EXA generators will flood the room with aerosol particles and rapidly extinguish any fire. Our systems can also be integrated into existing fire alarm systems, and with our proprietary gatekeeping system, accidental or false discharges can be avoided.

DIRECT-TO-SOURCE

Direct-To-Source system offers the possibility to fight the fire directly where the fire starts. As compact EXA generators can be placed directly inside or next to the protected equipment, rapid fire extinguishment can be achieved. This effectively prevents major equipment damage and causes zero downtime for other unaffected equipment.
