IMPULSE POWDER EXTINGUISHING MODULES

Non-pressurized & self-contained hybrid-aerosol system that delivers a gas-powder extinguishing medium to rapidly extinguish fires in enclosed, semi-open or open areas. To date IPEX systems have protected thousands of buses and mining equipment worldwide.

THE HYBRID FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM.

IPEX is a hybrid dual-agent technology incorporating both Aerosol and Powder extinguishing agents. The impulse discharge is achieved due to a special non-pressurized solid gas generator incorporated into the canister containing a special extinguishing powder. Upon activation, the gas generator release gases which rapidly build up and aerate the extinguishing powder, resulting in an impulse gas-powder delivery through a specially designed discharge outlet.

IPEX is suitable for both semi-open and open areas, and resistant to aggressive environments with high vibration, ambient temperatures up to 90C, dust, sprays, precipitates etc.

Due to its durability in aggressive environments, non-pressurized nature, and extremely low maintenance, it offers reliable fire protection with minimal investment. As such, IPEX is ideal for buses, rail, transport and mining vehicles, off-road vehicles, mobile compressors, outside of oil transformers, electrical and mining machinery, engine compartments and many others.
